Membership is USD 1,000 per month. It is a due, not a purchase: no one can buy their way in, and a person decides every admission before dues are ever asked for.
Dues are settled directly with the club, not through the App Store, and nothing is bought, unlocked or renewed inside the app. Once your application is approved, open Svala and choose Ask the desk; a person writes to you within a day. Membership continues month to month for as long as dues are settled, and ends whenever you tell the desk.
Dues are charged through your Google Play account as a monthly subscription, cancellable any time in Google Play → Subscriptions.
Founding members hold full membership without dues, permanently.
